HOME OF THE RED DEVILS 

The past two weekends the 5th grade and 6th grade girls' basketball teams completed their 1st season of competitive basketball in the Muskegon Leisure Services League by participating in an end of season tournament. Although the sixth grade's regular season record was not that great, they finished the season on a positive note going 1-1 in the tournament. The fifth grade team finished the regular season tied for second, with only one loss. In the tournament the 5th graders made it to the championship game where they loss to one of last year's finalists, finishing 2nd. This was a great accomplishment for this team, for which they received a trophy and medals.

Over 20 teams participated in the league that lasted over 8 weeks. Teams in the league were from many of the Muskegon area schools, including Steele, Bunker, Ravenna, Oakridge, Marquette, and several others. We had over 25 girls participate between the two teams. The teams were Coached by Kendra Wilson (Scanlon), Amy Younts and Brenda Bosset. The teams will complete their season playing at the halftimes of the high school games this Saturday.
