A Message from the Transportation Department

I hope everyone had a great summer! We are almost ready for Tuesday to be here!  As you know, our current financial situation has forced all of us to make some difficult decisions to save money. There will be more combined stops, as well as the fact that some roads and parts of roads will no longer be traveled. We will also be enforcing our "walk- out" in town which means everyone from Holton Road to Syers Road within a 1-2 mile radius of the school will now be considered a "walker." By making these changes we will absorb one full bus route and save money by eliminating extra stops.

Please remember to have your student at the bus stop five minutes early each morning, and that during the first week of school, buses can run up to 20-30 minutes late in the afternoons. This happens because we hold the buses at the school while assuring that all kids are on the correct buses before they leave.

We are excited for school to start and we look forward to seeing all the students! If you have any questions regarding transportation or the changes being made, please contact me at (231) 821-1707.

Please remember as the weather starts to change, it is very important to be at the bus stop atleast 5 minutes early.  It is very important to have the buses run as close to their schedule as possible and inclement weather does cause delays.

The transportation office is open and phones answered from 6:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on school days for your convenience.  If your student will not be riding the bus, please call (231) 821-1708 and report that to the dispatch line.  If you have a concern and need assistance outside of these hours, please contact me and I will do my best to accomodate your schedule.
