The Muskegon Area Career Tech Center (MACTC) offers 16 different classes to local high school juniors and seniors from schools in the Muskegon area. Holton High School students attend classes Monday through Friday for afternoon sessions that are 2.5 hours long. Students spend approximately one half of their day at the MACTC and one half at Holton. For more information on the MACTC please click on the following link: http://www.muskegonisd.org/ctc-new/
Student enrollment in CTC programs is coordinated by Mrs. Wolfe (program links are below). For 2016-2017, information packets are now available on Mrs. Wolfe's bulletin board. You should submit your request form as soon as possible as one of the considerations for selection is the date of the request. A copy of the request form , the registration form and a list of student information and expectations can be found by clicking on each link. These are the same forms in the packet located on Mrs. Wolfe's board. All forms must be submitted to Mrs. Wolfe (not to the CTC).
Students are encouraged to complete extensive career exploration and assessment activities to determine their career goals, interests, and abilities. This helps match students with programs that will provide them the greatest chance for success.
Each CTC class has an Advisory Committee of local professionals in related occupations. The Advisory Committee reviews program curriculum, facilities and equipment, and makes recommendations for updating and upgrading as industry standards change.
