Holton Elementary held their first Ride with Pride Assembly this morning. This program promotes safe decisions in and outside of school. Deputy Reiley encourages all students at Holton Public Schools to stay safe. Students were rewarded with a variety of prizes and our grand prize winner took home a scooter.
At the end of last week, Hope Squad was able to wrap up Hope week by giving away journals, journal prompts, and positive stickers to help give students access to another coping skill. The middle school and high school Hope Squads were able to complete a lot of fun activities this year with students, all focused on supporting students' mental health. Nominations for next year's Hope Squads are ongoing and we're looking forward to another fun school year! Suicide Prevention Week, Self-Care Week, and Hope Week were brought to Holton Public Schools this year by the Gerber Foundation.

We had a fantastic Decision Day on May 2nd, celebrating our seniors' exciting postsecondary plans! Our middle and high school students joined in as seniors proudly wore their future institution's colors, officially signed their commitment papers, and picked out a prize from our prize table. Every senior also went home with a goodie bag and a commemorative shirt. After the assembly, one middle school and one high school student won a $25 Amazon gift card. A huge congratulations to the Class of 2025! Thank you to Gerber Federal Credit Union, Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, Muskegon Federal Credit Union, and all of our wonderful community donors for helping us make this event possible.
