HPS Strategic Plan Goal #1: Teaching, Learning, & Student Achievement

Through the implementation of research and evidence-based best practice strategies, and a well-defined multi-tiered system of support, along with a strong technological blended approach to learning, we will create and maintain a culture of academic excellence and continuous growth for all students, staff, and faculty members.

At Holton Public Schools, as our motto implies, we continue to root our school system within our community, while working to reach for excellence in all that we do. A strong emphasis is placed upon ensuring that the growth of our students academically, while preparing them for future success is a top priority. In order for this to occur, Holton Public Schools provides a comprehensive curriculum for students in grades Kindergarten through twelfth grade, while partnering with White Lake Area Community Education through our consortium partnership to offer specialized programs for Head Start, GSRP, and adult and alternative education services. In addition, through a seat time waiver granted by the Michigan Department of Education, our district is able to offer a comprehensive online schooling experience for students who desire this opportunity through our Virtual Academy program. Further, Holton Public Schools supports professional learning opportunities for all staff to stay current with educational initiatives in order to provide the best learning experiences for our students.
